JEFFERSONVILLE JOURNAL • 15,000 color high quality journals are printed annually and are distributed to tourist locations, Government Buildings, as well as in various sites in Jeffersonville and around the county.The Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerce sends the Journal to everyone requesting information about the surrounding areas. The journal provides a map of the area, a business directory of the members of the Chamber, Calendar of Events and many very interesting articles about the surrounding area and information about many tourist-related businesses.

HOLIDAY TREE LIGHTING AND PARADE • Held annually the day after Thanksgiving. The Jeffersonville Fire Department arranges the James Dworestsky Memorial Holiday Parade with theme floats. The Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors the tree lighting and party following the parade where you will enjoy music and hot chocolate. The children get to visit with Santa and his helpers inside the firehouse.

ANNUAL TRUCK RAFFLE • The Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerce sponsors a Truck Raffle where one lucky winner will win a new truck, car or $15,000 cash! It is held annually on the first Sunday in December, which starts off the holiday season and includes a cocktail reception, hors d'oeuvres, door prizes and entertainment. Ticket purchases prior to August 5, 2006 make you eligible for the Early Bird Drawing of $1000 cash and other prizes.

LUMINARIA • This event is held on Christmas Eve where volunteers gather to light 30+ miles of roadway around the area. Driving through the candle lit paths are a magnificent site which adds a special beginning to Christmas. All are welcome to participate. Each volunteering group covers 1/2 mile to luminate.

BEAUTIFICATION • Our beautification efforts are endless. The Chamber has supplied businesses in the Village of Jeffersonville with flower barrels, seasonal banners in Jeffersonville and Youngsville, beautiful welcome signs in each town in the Jeffersonville School District, which also have flowers planted by each one and hanging baskets on Main Street. We also have an Annual Village Clean Up Day! We strive to keep our village clean and inviting for our community and visitors. Our latest community endeavor is Jems (Jeffersonville Enhances Main Street), volunteers consisting of chamber members, businesses, youth and individuals who have organized a beautification group.

REVITALIZATION AWARD • This award is given to businesses and private homes who have made substantial improvements to their property and have helped add value and charm to our community. The 2004 Award Recipients are: The Blue Victorian, Baby Yellow Duck, Crotty's Auto Parts, Kelly's Kones, Mullally's, The First National Bank of Jeffersonville, Baim's and The Kuebler Building.
